Kalkan - up Hill

These lovely apartments are located close to Akbel, a small village just 2-3 km from the centre of Kalkan.  From their hillside location, they command spectacular views of Kalkan, its bay and islands and further out into the stunning blue Meditteranean Sea and across the hills towards the spectacular Patara beach.  Their position also takes advantage of cooling evening breezes.  The village of Akbel offers real Turkish hospitality, as well as a local shop and has a bustling market every Sunday.

The building, which is set out on four levels and has a floor area of over 160 square metres, contains three very well-appointed apartments for rent, which can be let separately or all together, for those visiting in larger parties.  There is parking for three cars, including one open garage, and two separate entrance doors.  There is a large shared pool, over 40 square metres in area and about 1.7 metres deep, surrounded by attractive gardens, with adjacent dining area for 10 and another BBQ, all shaded under a pergola.  The building owners, who live on the bottom level, can help you with any queries you may have.

Ground floor: This apartment has its own entrance and separate outside dining area, with stone BBQ, table and seating for 4 and a preparation area with sink.  Once inside, there are cool marble floors and a bathroom with toilet, shower cubicle and wash hand basin.  The three bedrooms are bright and well-furnished, with plenty of wardrobe space and each has an airconditioning unit.  One has two single beds, the second has a double bed and the master bedroom, which overlooks the pool, terrace and spectacular views, has double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower, as well as a TV.  There is a large open-plan living area, fully airconditioned, with comfortable seating for 8-10, flat-screen TV and state of the art home cinema system, as well as wireless internet access.  Next to this is a very well-equipped kitchen area, with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar with seating for 8!  Just off the kitchen is another smaller living room, with seating for 8 and more high quality TV and hi-fi equipment, as well as more of those views!

First floor: This apartment is very similar in layout to the ground floor, fully airconditioned and equally well-equipped.  There are again three bedrooms, sleeping 6, two double and one twin, with the master bedroom having an ensuite and a separate jacuzzi bath with its own view, a great place from which to watch the stunning sunsets.  The living area has seating for 6-8, satellite TV and the kitchen features all of the equipment that you might need and a breakfast bar for 6.  There is also ample balcony space and outside seating, plus BBQ facilities.

Top floor: This apartment is again fully airconditioned and has three bedrooms, which will sleep 7, with 2 double rooms and a third which has three single beds (two spacious bunks).  The master bedroom is ensuite and has a TV.  The living room seats 6 and the same electrical equipment is provided there and in the kitchen.  Each room has very attractive wooden ceilings and even lovelier views, especially from the large terrace, where there is a dining area seating 6, a BBQ and a lovely swinging hammock seat.
