The entrance to the villa is on the ground floor. The wooden door opens  into the hallway with cupboards, shoe rack and coat hooks. Off the hall is a bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. There is an air-conditioned ensuite double bedroom with french windows opening onto the patio and swimming pool.

By the staircase to the first floor is a washing machine. The marble staircase leads to the main open plan living area, which is air conditioned and comprises a sitting area, dining area and kitchen. There is a balcony to the front and a dining terrace to the side. Both provide wonderful views across the bay. The sitting area has a wood burner for the colder months and a TV, DVD, Satellite receiver (some English channels) and iPod dock. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.

The dining terrace is shaded and surrounded by bougainvillea and has a large table and six chairs.

A staircase leads to the second floor which has two ensuite air conditioned bedrooms, one double, one single. They both have balconies with shade and great views of Kalkan, the bay and the sea beyond. The double bedroom has a jacuzzi bath and a shower in the ensuite. Taking the stairs up to the roof terrace, there is a shaded area with lighting and a comfortable sofa and chairs. An ideal place to watch the sun go down and chill out later

 

 

The villa is surrounded by traditional stone walls to the side and rear with many plants growing up the walls. To the side and rear there is a terraced garden which has many fruit trees and flowering plants. There is a particular delight in picking a fresh lemon and using it in a drink or some food you are making! To the front there is a stone patio with a traditional black and white pebble mosaic, typical of old Ottoman houses where they were used for cooling inner courtyards!

 

The front of the villa faces the bay in which Kalkan sits at the northern end. The views from sunrise to sunset are beautiful with boats coming and going and now and then a sighting of a dolphin or two. The swimming pool is on the edge of the patio. The pool has a constant depth of 1.53m and pool ladder for getting in and out. It is not heated, as in the main months it is very pleasant with the heat from the sun. There is a ledge on the bay side of the pool to assist with gazing out over the bay. The pool does not lend itself to diving, jumping in or bombing!

 

There is a car parking space next to the entrance steps leading up to the garden gate.

 

Due to the nature of the garden, the horizon pool and the numerous edges, drops and steps, the villa is not available for rent for families with children under 12 years of age
