This luxury detached villa has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday. Situated in a private location, It has three double bedrooms all with ensuite marble bathrooms, including a Jacuzzi bath, a further bathroom on the ground floor, a large comfortable lounge with sat TV and internet access, dining area, granite kitchen, balconies, a furnished roof terrace, plus an indoor sauna.

The luxury also extends outside to its large, furnished sun terrace, 10-metre pool, children's pool, al fresco dining area, stone BBQ and traditional Turkish kosk where you can lounge on cushions and enjoy a few drinks as the sun sets. In a private setting and has stunning views across the town, the bay and the Taurus mountains. It is just 5 minutes drive from Kalkan town, harbour and beach, and 5 minutes walk from shops and a local market. The villa accommodates 6 people comfortably.

Bathrooms: There are 4 large marble bathrooms. The 3 ensuite bathrooms all have showers wcs, sinks, mirrors, and hairdryers. For added luxury, the master bathroom also has a jacuzzi bath and double sink. The fourth bathroom, with a shower, is on the ground floor.

Kitchen: The modern kitchen has a granite worktop and is fully equipped with fan oven, fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, plus utensils, glasses, cutlery and crockery. Living Rooms: The stylish and spacious open-plan living room has a 3-seater sofa, 2 seater sofa, 2 armchairs, dining table, attractive fireplace, satellite TV, internet access and large patio doors to the pool terrace, which affords spectacular views.

Other: The villa has the added luxury of an indoor sauna as well as a traditional Turkish kosk. The kosk is an open structure with a raised platform and wooden roof, furnished with Turkish rugs and cushions, and perfect for relaxing with a drink as the sun sets. Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: Towels and bed linen (not beach towels) are included and changed weekly when the villa is cleaned throughout.

Notes on accommodation:
All rooms have sea views. This villa is particularly suitable for families with young children because of the additional children's pool, although young children should still be supervised outside. There is also ample car parking space.

Outside:
The villa is as luxurious outside as it is in. Its large, private sun terrace has a stone BBQ and is furnished with wooden sunbeds, cushions, tables and parasols. The private pool is 10 x 5 metres, with a shallow end of 120 metres and a deep end of 170 metres. The villa also has a children's pool, and a pool shower. For alfresco dining both the sun terrace and the roof terrace are furnished with tables and chairs. While for added luxury, there is a traditional Turkish kosk complete with cushions and rugs, a perfect place for relaxing with a drink before or after dinner.
 

Travel
The nearest airport is Dalaman (approx 1.5 hour drive) and flights are direct from the UK. Transfer to and from the airport is usually by private taxi or minibus. We can arrange transfers and car hire from Kalkan at very reasonable prices.

Distances
Kalkan town centre, 5 mins drive (2.5km). Kaputas beach, 15 min drive. Patara beach, 20 min drive. Kas, 30 min drive. Fethiye, under 1 hour drive. Other local attractions are easily accessible, such as Xanthos (the ancient capital of Lycia), the sunken city of Kekova, the ghost town of Kayakoy, the rock tombs of Tlos, Demre and the Church of St Nicholas (Father Christmas), the mountain villages of Islamlar and Bezirgan, and Saklikent Gorge. Daily boat trips from the harbour are also available.

The idyllic town of Kalkan on Turkey's dramatic Lycian coastline nestles in the Taurus Mountains above a small, picturesque harbour. Its enchanting narrow streets lined with small shops, local restaurants and listed whitewashed houses with shuttered windows and carved timber balconies tumbling with bougainvillea, twist down to an ancient harbour. From here, overlooked by a tiny white mosque, the fish are brought ashore in the morning and the wooden gullets sail out on their day trips around the bays and outlying islands.

For food lovers, Kalkan offers some of the best food in Turkey, either from its traditional locantas, the harbour-front restaurants, or on the romantic roof terraces for which Kalkan is famous. Or visit the trout restaurants of Islamlar, the mountain village above Kalkan, where the trout pools are fed by mountain springs.

Kalkan is a friendly, picture-postcard pretty, town that despite its increasing popularity and sophistication has retained its charm. No wonder so many holiday makers return to Kalkan every year.
